Here at Q Sterry - Inspired Architecture, LLC, we are proud to announce that Sarah Homister has been promoted to Project Manager at our Eugene, OR office! 

Her diligence to the craft has allowed us to push projects forward with incredible attention to detail and generated excitement for client involvement, thus creating a more holistic design process. Her outstanding work on 3D renders and visualizations has given our clients a clearer picture of what to expect from the final built design, and in doing so, has led to design iterations not otherwise possible. In particular the project “Crow Zenith” has been expertly rendered to look incredibly real. Not only skilled in the digital architecture world, her material control and palette management skills are top-notch. By showcasing physical material samples and color palettes in a sleek, professional shadow box, each room could be visualized and imagined by all members of the design process. Her interior design skills are superb as well, and while initially they may appear bold, the expert proportions and finesse over the boldness turns into a tasteful, fresh aesthetic style, catered to each project’s unique needs. When a project’s floorplans were suddenly required to be half the size, she was able to maintain all of the client’s original goals and maintain the same structural design to allow for the project to grow into its original design size with a future addition. This is value engineering at its finest!

Already stepping firmly into the manager role, she has taken our new intern employee, Christoph under her wing and as a result he has flourished. Her mentorship skills to other young professionals should not be overlooked, and as we continue to grow, her guidance will be vital to onboarding future employees. Her skill in juggling a variety of drafting projects has already proved she is quite competent in handling the changing goals of projects, from inception to completion. Following current guidelines and picking up on standard operating procedures as the projects move into different stages of construction, she also has offered innovation to the procedures, allowing us to better blend the tools technology provides with the traditional means and methods of the profession.

We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next, whether that is creatively during schematic design or during post processing of finished buildings. We know her skills in architecture will continue to grow and further solidify her position as an invaluable member of the team. We look forward to seeing how her passion and creativity will shape our future.
